Bachman said it does not take brain surgery to know how to prevent hate and intolerance from spreading.

Bachman whisked himself up and down the length of the gymnasium floor with his scooter to speak and ask students questions.

“The biggest impact these students received is the realization that this is real life,” said St. Stephen Principal Dave Szymanowski.
